Bathtime is B’s favorite activity. We usually end up doing it every other day, sometimes more depending on how messy meals have been that day. Since we don’t have a bath (we have a walk-in shower), we still use this Flexibath to bathe her. When she was little, we used the Frog foam pad but since she started sitting up we stopped using it. We always use eco-friendly soaps on B and since her castille soap from Earth Mama Angel Baby ran out, we have been using Honest Company shampoo and soap and their lotion afterwards. When it is really dry out, we use their healing balm on her face, her hands, and her feet. I can’t wait to try their bubble bath out but to be honest I have been nervous because B still tries to drink the bath water every time.
For the fun stuff, we avoid squirt toys since hearing about nasty mold inside most squirt toys. So we have found some fun alternatives to play with instead. The Boon water bugs toy is definitely B’s favorite. She loves putting the “bugs” inside the net and taking them out. We received ours in a Citrus Lane box but I would happily pay full price for them. Boon also has these adorable bubble toys. Because we don’t necessarily have sides of the bathtub to stick them on these are on our wish list for our next house. We do however love these Boon squirt toys because they can be cleaned easily (they screw apart so they fully dry in between bath sessions.) I swear this is not a promotion for Boon toys, they just have a bunch of high quality non-toxic bath toy alternatives to squirt toys.
Instead of using a traditional pitcher to rinse her hair, we use these Skip Hop Dunck Ducks. Not only are they cute, fun for B; but, they also rinse hair well! Lastly, this floating duck from Biscuit Home is adorable (you have to double check that it isn’t a squirt toy.) Biscuit Home also sells this adorable pink pony towel. We don’t have one, we are still using her Aden & Anais hooded towel, but maybe for this summer!
What are your favorite bath toys? Do you use squirt toys? Do your kids like baths? I know when I was older I hated taking baths but I can’t remember when that began. Hopefully not for many years!
