Coffee Table Books: Even in the era of Pinterest, shelter magazines galore, and thousands of blogs, coffee table books remain the most inspirational and educational (and a decorating staple.) What you can learn from these books is more than what you could ever take from any one article or blog post. It is akin to learning from the best teachers in the world. These authors not only are talented enough to create beautiful work; but, they also have authored wonderful and helpful books on the subject. And heck, once you read it it continues to beautify your home as a coffee table accessory! Yeah for functional home decor accessories!
If you are looking for the perfect gift to give a home decor lover, then I know you will love these! All of these coffee table books are gorgeous and educational. And there are enough books to make sure there is certainly one on the list she doesn’t have!

Several of my favorite decorating books are listed here. These books have shaped my decorating taste and taught me invaluable lessons about interior design. From how far a coffee table should be from a chair (like I wrote about here) to how far a chandelier should be from a table, they offer actionable advice for every interior design lover. If you are looking for solid design advice, then you should definitely check out the Elements of Style, Elements of Style, Styled by Emily Henderson, and Domino (the first) and make sure to grab the newest release–Domino (the latest) book on decorating.
If you want to ogle beautiful photographs that inspires wanderlust, you are going to love the classic Slim Aarons: Once Upon a Time, The Big Book of the Hamptons, Beaches (which you can also make art out of!) and Wanderlust.
And if you are looking for books solely by color, I do not judge! Heck, I know that it is a great way to style your bookshelves! If you want pops of pink to add to your coffee table or bookshelf, then Impact CFDA, Absolutely Beautiful Things, All In Good Taste would form a beautiful grouping!
If you are looking for a book for a flea market fanatic, then Perfectly Imperfect Home andModern Mix are going to give them a goldmine of information on what pieces to look for, how to collect heirlooms (like the Willow Wood I picked up at the flea market,) and what is and what is not worth reupholstering.
And if you love decorating with color, then Dazzling Design: Amanda Nisbet and Katie Ridder: Rooms will provide you endless inspiration. Years later, I am still revisiting these favorites for inspiration of rooms in our house like our upstairs kids bathroom and our downstairs bathroom.
And if you are looking for the perfect gift for a hostess in your life, the woman who always serves the perfect dinner, who always has Pinterest worthy birthday parties, and who is the go to for any special occasion, then Celebrate Everything is your solution!
