The holidays are busy, and with every passing year they get even busier. So when you find out your best friend is expecting, and you want to make sure she gets the best video baby monitor and add a little personalization for the baby’s first Christmas, you pull out your glue gun and your felt! This DIY No Sew Stocking was so easy–it took less than ten minutes, cost only a few dollars, and really added a personal touch to a very practical Christmas gift! It is the perfect way to add a holiday touch to a fabulous baby gift–peace of mind via the VTech VM341-216 Bear 2 Camera Full Color Video Monitor.
As a new mom, you obsess over each and every sound the baby makes. It is just normal! So the VTech VM341-216 Bear 2 Camera Full Color Video Monitor combines automatic night vision and full-color video displays on a large 4.3″ color LCD screen, so parents can relax knowing that their baby is safe and sound. And this monitor is the ultimate monitor–it has two-way intercom and with its built-in lullabies and soothing sounds, it lets moms and dads soothe their baby without even entering the room!
What’s even better is that the VTech VM341-216 Bear 2 Camera Full Color Video Monitor comes with two cameras–one teddy bear-shaped camera and an additional standard camera that can be placed in another room, or in another location in the same room. This is fantastic for parents who know they want to have more than one kid! And with digital transmission, parents have peace of mind that their video is private. You can pick up the VM341-216 at Babies R Us and online! What new moms and dads need more than anything else is peace of mind, so they can sleep when the baby sleeps and this lets them do that!
We even tried it out in Jack’s bedroom and I loved putting VTech Bear Video Monitor to work! It had wonderful transmission and worked perfectly! The color LCD screen was crystal-clear video!
Now, let’s personalize the gift by making a DIY No Sew Stocking!
DIY NO SEW STOCKING
Felt in three different colors (white, green, and red)
Hot Glue Gun
Permanent Marker (or pencil for tracing)
1.) Gather all of your materials. Then do a rough sketch of what you want the stocking to look like. I traced the shape on one side of the felt, and then doubled it up, so when I cut the two sides were symmetrical.
2.) Cut the red trim for the top of the stocking. Decide how long you want it to be–I made mine a few inches. Then cut out the white trim. This will go on top of the red trim.
3.) Cut out the letter for the baby’s name. My friend hasn’t decided on a name yet, so I just made it the first letter of their last name.
4.) Finally, cut a small strap to hang the stocking–at least three inches in length and 1/4-1/2″ wide.
5.) Now it is time to glue everything together. First, work on the front of the stocking. Adhere the red trim to the green felt, then the white trim, then the letter.
6.) Next, you need to glue the two sides of the stocking together. On the back of the stocking, create a thin line of hot glue going around the edges. Then press the two sides together.
7.) Lastly, you want to attach the hanger. Simply put a dab of hot glue on either side of the inside of the stocking and adhere the hanger to it.
DONE! Now, just wrap it up with your favorite ribbon and paper and you have a beautiful and useful baby gift for the holidays! Tell me, are you a no sew or a sew girl?
