Gray Malin, the king of amazing photographs, recently had his home makeover by Homepolish featured on One King’s Lane. While much of his furniture was featured on One King’s Lane over this past weekend, the prices were out of reach of most people. Below, I tried to recreate the look in a budget friendly manner. It’s not perfect but you get a similar aesthetic. Please excuse the crazy windows–I couldn’t find a better way to depict the bay window!
always have his work featured every few weeks
Now the second part was very hard to position the furniture in the appropriate way in Polyvore. I still don’t own nor know how to use Photoshop so you will have to excuse the poor positioning skills; however, I think you will get the picture. In addition, those bookcases are amazing but are very hard to find in big box stores–hence, why they command the big bucks on sites like 1stdibs. You could always scour Craigslist or ebay but the brass etagere DIY I source gives you the same idea.

Again, you can find almost all of Gray Malin’s prints on his website or check One King’s Lane frequently because they always are featuring some of his artwork!
Tomorrow, in honor of Earth Day (a day late) I will talk about the ways we try to be green while maintaining a budget because it isn’t always so easy!
