If you haven’t heard already, the Lilly Pulitzer Annual After Party Sale is going live tomorrow at 8AM EST (7 AM CST). Sadly, I will be in the car so I am not sure how much shopping I will get done. All I really want this year is some Lilly shifts for next year for Bowe and maybe a swimsuit. We wear Lilly shifts nonstop all summer. In year’s past, I have picked up Elsa tops that are great for nursing and post-partum as well as shorts.
Here are some tips I have found to be useful in the past few years:
1.) Go Early
I went at 8:20 last year and had to wait online “in queue” for 45 minutes. When you go to the site they will put you in a line so do not refresh your screen.
2.) Expect Delays
Like I said, with the line, expect to wait for a bit so bring your patience. Also, the site usually crashes a couple of times no matter how hard they work. So be patient.
3.) Be Ready
Be ready to buy what you want immediately. Items are not reserved for you until you check out. And sizes will disappear before your eyes over the two days the sale is going on.
4.) Set-up an account now!
To expedite the checkout process, make an account now and put in your payment details. That way, tomorrow morning you can check out as fast as possible.
5.) Check elsewhere
If your items are all sold-out, check elsewhere. They may not be the steepest discounts but retailers like 6pm will often mark down their merchandise and Nordstrom will price match. I will try to post some links to these products if available!
FYI: Sizing Information the Elsa tops run big. I am usually a medium in tops but in the Elsa a medium is huge. Try to go a size down. Their sizes for shorts are pretty true to size. As for dresses for the little ones, they run TTS. I generally add a year to whatever size Bowe is currently for next year’s size.
